Take a sneaky peek at a past customers kitchen from Premier Interiors the kitchen company I design for. This gorgeous Buttermilk Ivory cabinetry is still a popular choice for a country kitchen feel. Cream doors are teamed with solid wood worktops for the main kitchen with a granite top on the island unit. The kitchen features a false chimney breast built around the range & a stunning dresser unit.
Garden Party
To be honest im craving a little alfresco dinning! I have a garden under construction for a second summer running & I am desperate for a beautiful space in the sunshine. Somewhere I can sit with a glass of Pimms & lemonade, BBQ smoking & kids playing. I have been very drawn to all that is British this summer maybe its all this hype around the Olympics & The Jubilee mixed with my love of vintage style that has made me feel so nostalgic. Images everywhere of quintessentially British tea party's themed in red, white & blue are dominating style magazines & blogs, but when I saw these zesty garden images it reminded me how much fun you can have with colour in the garden. Pops of vibrant bright's bring these spaces alive.
Colour Inspiration
Coral & Turquoise.
Now the weather has changed & I am finally feeling summery I thought it was time for a little summery colour inspiration & this is a colour combination that hits the right note for me. My favourite colour turquoise teamed with soft feminine coral.

Bathroom Inspiration
Tranquil white Bathrooms
Ive talked about white bathrooms often not only because of the fact that white pottery tends to be cheaper to buy but because white creates a real sense of tranquilty as well as space, making it the perfect space to relax & unwind at the end of a busy day. There are literally hundreads of shades of white & you can mix different shades for a real spa finish. You really cant go wrong with white. Ok you have heard me blab on about white before so lets just move on to the inspirational pictures shall we.....

Hotel Tour
Last week I spent a couple of days up in county Durham as I went on a factory/showroom tour with one of our kitchen suppliers (I'll tell you more about that tomorrow) but this is the beautiful 16th century hotel that I had the pleasure of staying at.
The Headlam hotel is an independent family run hotel in the picturesque hamlet in lower Teesdale midway between the towns of Darlington and Barnard Castle in County Durham, North East England. Headlam Hall enjoys an excellent reputation for high standards of accommodation and cuisine, combined with helpful and friendly service. The main bedrooms where I was staying offer period decor, elegant fabrics and furnishings (some antique pieces too) in keeping with a traditional country manor house. It really is quaintly English. Some rooms (like the Poppy room I was staying in) have four-poster beds and all have either rural or garden views. I had never had the pleasure of sleeping in a four poster bed so this was devine. Each room is unique character and charm. So lets take a tour around shall we.

Colour Inspiration
Sorry I missed you all yesterday for a bit of colour inspiration I have spent a few days away with work & have been torn from my trusty laptop so have been unable to put together a full colour inspired post (lack of organisation there). But here's a pop of colourful & fun inspiration to start the weekend off.
bathroom inspiration
This stunning white tranquil bathroom is right up my street. White, white & more white & plenty of space (we can all pretend). This ticks all the right boxes for me, my perfect bath tub & gorgeous vanity/sink. This is a space I could relax in with my new copy of 'Shades of Grey'. A tranquil space is a must have for me as a bathroom & this totally hits the right note for me.
House Tour
Today we are focusing on a kitchen tour with some stunning walnut cabinetry. A wedge-shaped island, topped with Nero Assoluto granite that over hangs for a handy breakfast bar, makes a stunning centrepiece. Stainless steel appliances like the large american style fridge freezer look beautiful framed by the dark walnut wood as do the silver handles & plinth. There is even a little glamour added with chandelier style lighting.
This gorgeous dresser also doubles up as a bar with a bottle cupboard, a wine cooler & some storage for glasses.
