Autumn trends
I am feeling inspired by textures & patterns today
(ok so I have sneaked in another little warming fire place image again I just couldn't resist).....
But its when the weather changes that textures especially start to really become the most important to me. Its the coziness of certain fabrics that we crave on a cold & dark evening. It all starts to become about cushions galore, as well as woollen rugs & throws.

But this Autumn the trend has a woodland theme, maybe as we come in to these fall months where the leaves change into bright & beautiful colours we start to think a lot more about natural materials, rustic textures & earthy colours. From wooden vintage clocks to cushions printed with woodland animals we go back to our natures routes.
A cold chill......
I will be honest its freezing here in the office & I know its only September, but I am already in need of the heating on.
Where the heck did summer go already??
So already here I am swooning over delightfully appealing fire places, you know I just cant help myself. We are coming into my favourite time of year & I wont bore you once again chit chattering on about my love of the hearty fireplace but I may slip in an inspirational image or three...
This perfect country retreat has a hearty glow...
ok ill save a few images back for now, you never know we may have a sudden change in temperature & ill get all summer & florally inspired again!!!!!!
Bathroom Inspiration
Make the most of your cloakroom space by creating an inviting space to your house guests. Just because its a small toilet area doesn't mean it doesn't deserve a little creativity & style.
I really love the flamingo wallpaper in this space it adds a little glamour don't you think. Unlike the bathroom it isn't exposed to moisture so wallpaper can work really well. The room is kept light & airy with pale flooring & white tiles. The brick effect gives a more updated look.
Choose a large wall mirror is another way of creating a sense of space as it reflects the light. Don't be afraid to go large in a small space it wont over bare in the space as much as you may think because of the light reflection & actually it will add a touch of glamour.

bo ho living
This colourful boho style living room is alive with great ecclectic pieces from the shabby chic sideboard to the more contemporary reading lamp. The cosy looking cream sofas scattered with vibrant cushions is my favourite thing about the space but I also love the collection of mixed random picture frames on the wall. An altogether comfortable & inviting room.
inspiring spaces
I found these images over on Pinterest & I absolutely love the pretty colour palette of coral, turquoise & beige. It's one of my favourite colour combinations & I love how its been used here, the cushions are particularly gorgeous
Burbridge kitchen
I am loving this gorgeous Burbridge kitchen in Ravello dark oak mixed with dark gloss feature doors.
bathroom inspiration
Check out Kayne West's quirky fish tank themed bathroom, this makes a really amazing feature. It would certainly be very relaxing to lay back & chill out at the end of a busy day watching the fish swim, Ive always found fish tanks very therapuetic & calming & what better place than to place it at the end of a nice big bath tub!
Designer watch
I am loving this gorgeous colour palette used here by designer Katie's Rosenburg. Fabulous colour selection is something she completely gets right with her designs. I absolutely love this kitchen

Utility room
If there is one room I could do with in my home its a utility/laundry room. There is nothing worse than laundry hanging around the house drying. The ironing basket that seems to be continuously over spilling is another pet hate but a little space to hide this all away would be a god send to me. I try my hardest to keep on top of ironing but working the hours I do doesn't make this an easy task. So yes on my 'WANT' list for a new house a utility room is way up high.
Lets be honest it would also be good to get the washing machine out of the main kitchen space too. I'm not a fan of bulky appliances on show, I prefer them hidden behind doors leaving the kitchen looking smoother & more appealing on the eye. I don't have a tumble dryer we don't have the space in our kitchen but I've always thought it would be handy when its too cold & wet outside to hang the washing to dry & not cold enough inside to have the radiators blaring out to dry things through. A laundry space is most certainly needed or me.
