Salthouse Harbour Hotel
As promised last week here is a little sneeky peek at the Angel Hotels sister hotel on the waterfront in Ipswich 'The Salthouse Harbour Hotel'.
An eclectic mix of rich modern interiors & vintage furniture & sculptures is what makes this luxury boutique hotel stand out. With 70 individually designed rooms it is chic & artfully decorated with comfort & style coming together perfectly. Modern patterned wallpaper & statement pieces of art are a winning combination. There is even an appearance of that stunning freestanding cooper bath in the luxury Salt Loft Marina rooms.

Launch Of New Wingspan Bar At The Angel Hotel
Tomorrow I have the honour of attending the launch of the brand new Wingspan Bar at the Angel Hotel in Bury St Edmunds. I am attending as a guest speaker (something I am a little nervous about I have to say), but also very excited about. I had the pleasure a couple of weeks ago of having a tour of the new bar which is located under the hotel itself within the secret 12th centuary
tunnels that run under much of Bury St Edmunds.
The Wingspan bar is an eccelctic designed space featuring a mix of ancient architecture with modern furniture. Its an extremely comfortable space perfect for a few pre or post meal drinks. The bar itself has been created from half & aircraft engine & the tables are designed from aeroplane doors. Each sofa has been individually covered in German flour sacks. Its all together a cleverly designed space & I cannot wait to share more images with you later in the week.
The Angel Hotel, a Georgian Ivy clad boutique hotel, is an exotic blend of contemporary chic & vintage design. Eccentric curiosities are the flavour of style here with vintage furniture mixed with pop art, decadent fabrics & exotic finds from all over the world.
Owned by Robert Gough, the hotel has been in his family since 1973. It had 50 bedrooms back then but has since gone through extensive renovation & now boasts 80 bedrooms & the Eaterie. A wide range of accommadation including suites & family rooms all flamboyantly designed.
