bo ho living
This colourful boho style living room is alive with great ecclectic pieces from the shabby chic sideboard to the more contemporary reading lamp. The cosy looking cream sofas scattered with vibrant cushions is my favourite thing about the space but I also love the collection of mixed random picture frames on the wall. An altogether comfortable & inviting room.
inspiring spaces
I found these images over on Pinterest & I absolutely love the pretty colour palette of coral, turquoise & beige. It's one of my favourite colour combinations & I love how its been used here, the cushions are particularly gorgeous
Burbridge kitchen
I am loving this gorgeous Burbridge kitchen in Ravello dark oak mixed with dark gloss feature doors.
bathroom inspiration
Check out Kayne West's quirky fish tank themed bathroom, this makes a really amazing feature. It would certainly be very relaxing to lay back & chill out at the end of a busy day watching the fish swim, Ive always found fish tanks very therapuetic & calming & what better place than to place it at the end of a nice big bath tub!
Designer watch
I am loving this gorgeous colour palette used here by designer Katie's Rosenburg. Fabulous colour selection is something she completely gets right with her designs. I absolutely love this kitchen
An Exciting Announcement
I am trilled to tell you all that here at Finishing Touch Interiors I am welcoming a talented new designer to the team. Some of you may remember the lovely Joanne as she was a feature writer here on the blog some time ago & did the series 'Jo's Fabulous Finds'.
I am very excited to have her joining the design team as she is an incredibly talented lady with a very creative eye. Joanne officially joins the team in September.
If you missed her series here then why not pop on over to her blog page & take a look at what you missed by following the link below

Utility room
If there is one room I could do with in my home its a utility/laundry room. There is nothing worse than laundry hanging around the house drying. The ironing basket that seems to be continuously over spilling is another pet hate but a little space to hide this all away would be a god send to me. I try my hardest to keep on top of ironing but working the hours I do doesn't make this an easy task. So yes on my 'WANT' list for a new house a utility room is way up high.
Lets be honest it would also be good to get the washing machine out of the main kitchen space too. I'm not a fan of bulky appliances on show, I prefer them hidden behind doors leaving the kitchen looking smoother & more appealing on the eye. I don't have a tumble dryer we don't have the space in our kitchen but I've always thought it would be handy when its too cold & wet outside to hang the washing to dry & not cold enough inside to have the radiators blaring out to dry things through. A laundry space is most certainly needed or me.
Out Door Dining
When the sun is shining its so lovely to dine alfresco. We don't get a huge amount of sunny days in good old Blighty so you really do have to make the most of it, & it's not all about picnics or BBQs either. Why not set an outside table for your evening meal. It won't be long before these sunny days are gone, the evenings are already drawing in so enjoy it while its here.
Bathroom Inspiration
For a classic & timeless look you cant go wrong with neutral beige tiling against white pottery. Keep fittings simple & add a splash of colour with bright accessories.
A Tranquil Palette
I absolutely love this stunning colour palette of calming neutrals with my favourite tones of tranquil blue & turquoise. It's a light & airy open space that to me is simply perfect. I really love the dark wood beams against the fresh white walls they work well here in a contemporary space.

Garden Party
Well I have waited a long time for my garden to be done & although there are still things to be done my patio & decked area are complete & so its time I think to enjoy summer BBQs & a little garden tea party or two. Last Sunday I was busy in the kitchen baking delicious delights for a quintessentially British tea party & it wouldn't have been a proper English tea party without finger sandwiches, scones, fairy cakes & of course not forgetting a Victoria sponge cake layered with cream & strawberries.........
All the cake recipes can be found over on my cookery blog if you would like to hop on over....

Its Cocktail Hour
Its nearly the weekend & I must say I am more than ready to unwind, I am so frazzled. I Have been working like a trooper its been so busy, not that I am complaining but working until late on design plans to keep up is burning me out & I have also been trying to fit in painting the showroom. I hope to get more done when the showroom shuts Saturday afternoon ready for my new tile clapper boards & door racks to be installed.
So much going on & not enough hours in my day. I think I could do with some time to chill out with a glass of something special...well I think I have earned it......
Cocktail recipe:-
* Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
* Add St-Germain (elderflower liqueur)
* Add gin and shake vigorously.
* Strain into a glass, add plum slices, and serve.
While on the subject of cocktails lets take a look at some cool cocktail trolly's that I found on Pinterest
